18th Century Giltwood Side Chair

An early 18th century giltwood high-backed chair, in the Rococo taste. Continental, C.1720.

The seat rails and crest adorned with shells and scrolls, raised on carved tapering cabriole legs joined by a curved x-shaped stretcher.

With traditionally upholstered square back and seat in a Titley and Marr Balmoral ‘Eau De Nil’ shade damask fabric, finished with a George Spencer trim.
